It has been my privilege to help bring support and awareness of our local Down Syndrome community by inviting these adorable little ones to my studio over the past three years for a free mini session photo shoot. I have loved getting to know their families–I am still in touch with many of them and follow their continued stories on social media. It’s been an honor to be just a small part of their story and to learn theirs as well. Unfortunately, these sessions won’t be something I can do this year due to the current state of affairs with the coronavirus lockdown, but I wanted to make sure I still brought attention to the special meaning of March 21st.
Looking back on the past few years, I wanted to make sure I highlighted all of the beautiful faces and the reasons for offering the free photo shoots. The local news station featured a story that you can watch here (yes, I was super nervous to speak in front of the camera!). If you have a moment to watch the video, I think it will make you smile.
