Two Months

Our little man is two months old today. I won’t say all the usual things about how time has flown and how we can’t believe that he’s been in our family for eight weeks now, and how we really can’t imagine life without him (alright, alright –so I just said them) . . . but we have learned a little bit about a few things:

-Love is like a rubber band. I’ve often heard people say that, and have learned that they are absolutely right.

-Our child has a mohawk that I am completely in love with.

-While Brayden’s newborn cries resembled something that I lovingly referred to as a pterodactyl, Carter’s sounds more like a goat–with a lot of maa, maa, maas in it.
-He is usually very content, and will hang out wherever you put him for awhile until he gets bored.
-He loves being carried facing forward, laying down–like a football.
-Spitting up is his favorite hobby. I didn’t even have to sign him up for a class or anything–he’s a complete natural.
-His smile is just so darn cute.
-He doesn’t like his carseat at all, and is not very content when we go out if he is left in his seat. I usually have to carry him upon arrival at our destination, or he gets a little mad. He never stays asleep in his seat once the car stops moving.
-Nights haven’t been all that bad . . . he usually goes between five and six hours before waking up. The he’s usually up for the day around 6:30 (which isn’t my favorite at all).
-He is a peanut, and is finally out of newborn clothes (just a few weeks ago)–which is the opposite of his big brother, who was a big boy for awhile. Now he’s quite skinny.
And there you have it.
