That one April . . .

Well, would you look at that? Finally. . . a nice picture of my husband and I. I’m behind the lens so much that I am barely ever in the pictures . . . and when someone does take a picture, I am never very fond of how they turn out.
I wear my hair down once every four years. It always surprises me when I do . . . wow, look how long my hair has gotten, literally is what I think every single time. I’m really not kidding either. It’s kind of pathetic. But at any rate, I actually did my hair this past weekend, so I made sure to get a picture of it. Then no one can ever say, you never wear your hair down, with a scrunched up nose, and a youarecrazyforalwayswearingitup kind of look.
Now I can say, no, there was this one time that I wore it down for my engagement pictures . . . and then there was this other time one year, I think it was an April, yeah definitely April, right after my second child was born when I wore it down again, and I have a picture to prove it . . .

And just to prove exactly when it was, I will show them this other picture. See? I will say. I promise . . . it really wasn’t all that long ago. And by that time, this little child that I have in my baby bjorn will be having his kindergarten graduation.

Brayden got some new clothes in the mail from his Nanna in Florida. He is madly in love with the basketball shirt that came in the package, proclaiming him a hoop champ. We went to two birthday parties the day he first wore the shirt and he announced proudly to anyone who would listen, “look at my new backetball shirt!” as he crouched over and ran in a circle, pretending to dribble a ball.

He also is head over heels for cutting paper. I found a perfect book for him on clearance at Walmart. So now he can actually cut with a purpose, instead of cutting pieces of scrap paper into a million little pieces while I watch in horror as they scatter all over my family room floor.
Brayden brushed up on his baby-holding while practicing with a little lamb. I’m not sure why he even bothered though. Carter is now eight weeks old and he has only held him twice. And those were only because I nearly forced him to so that I could take a picture. He had to be bribed.
I am in the middle of a project that I am excited to share with you in a few weeks. It involves the zoo and my camera and some prizes to be won. Can’t wait to show you my results. I hope I get some good ones this year.
