Rochester, NY Wedding Photographer | A Barn at Old Fort Farm Country Wedding

Stacy and Adam’s wedding was gorgeous from beginning to end. It took place at The Old Fort Farm, which is a pretty meaningful place to Adam. The sky threatened rain all day which made it a beautiful hue of dark blue, full of clouds, and an absolute dream to photograph in. The ceremony was set to be outside and thank goodness the rain held off for the ceremony! I kept my fingers crossed that it would hold off for longer. . . we still had our portraits to do! We drove to this fantastic horse farm to do some shots. The sky was still beautifully dark and ominous. There’s a difference between overcast skies and skies dark blue with impending rain. And that’s what we got. Lovely dark blue skies all the way up until we got back to the reception. It held off for just a bit longer for us, but as Stacy was getting bustled, the skies opened up and boy did it pour. And I’m talking pour!  The roof of the barn was metal, so it was quite a sound!  If you go back and read Stacy and Adam’s engagement session post, you’ll see a theme to their “photography” story. It poured after their engagement session as well!

There were so many lovely country details throughout the wedding. Guests sat on bales of hay for the ceremony, there were a whole lot of cowboy boots going on, there was burlap and tractor accents and beautiful fall colors. All of this tied together the whole fall country wedding theme. The barn was spacious and beautiful, and it sure seemed like everyone was having the time of their lives. I am so incredibly happy for the two of you, Stacy and Adam! Congratulations on the start of your new life together.
