We’ve adopted a bit of a “wild” theme in our backyard this year. Being that it’s the first summer we have lived at this house, I’m not sure we knew what we were getting ourselves into. We only looked at the house in the winter, so we didn’t know quite how extensive the “landscaping” areas were in the back. And well, they are quite extensive. Having our hands full with inside projects and with business stuff, we haven’t had the time to attack it.  It’s obvious that we aren’t meant to have too much maintenance outside. We need something low maintenance, for sure. I think next year, we will try to get rid of nearly ALL the areas in the back that were once something beautiful, and make it work for us. And by that, I just mean mowing it all down and planting grass. But this year? Well, it’s a jungle! You can see in these pictures that the background of the yard is a bit of a mess. Weeds everywhere. I’ve just had to keep telling myself that it’s okay, and that no one is judging me, and it will be better next year. Don’t even ask me how the garden looks . . .
