Slipping

Project 365 | 2014  is currently about 44 days from being done. Lately, I’ve been slipping.  I think I missed three days last week, which brings my total missed days into the teens, I think. Not too shabby for sure, but still–I’ve got to get better and not pulling the oh my goodness, it’s the end of the day and the kids are about to go to bed and I haven’t taken my picture of the day yet! Which leads to some half thought out image that I won’t be quite as happy to look back at as some others.  When I really remember, I try to take one early in the day–like this morning.  Sometimes, if I know we are doing a special event, I know I will be making that the picture of the day, and I have to think ahead to pack the camera.  Thankfully the kids don’t mind the camera in their faces, which is quite surprising to me.  They are always asking if I could take a picture of this or take a picture of that.  And more than likely, I oblige.

So, I must stay focused through the end of the year!  No more slipping like that!  Keep my eye on the finish line. . . and then start all over again?

This morning, I’m definitely glad I brought my camera down.  The boys were all playing before Brayden left for school.  Sawyer wandered over to their side of the castle and plopped down in Brayden’s lap.  He only sat there for about thirty seconds, but Brayden was smiling and said, “I kind of feel like a dad!”.
