Babies. Children. The best little humans in the world.

There are few things better in this world than capturing the essence of childhood in a photograph. Children and babies truly make the best photo subjects. Their emotions are pure and raw and they are so unpredictable that it makes photographing them that much more enjoyable. You literally have no idea what will happen during the course of a session. Some babies smile at me just by me looking at them. Some like the silly songs. . . the silly faces. . . the silly noises. Sometimes, they cry when I try to make those silly faces, songs and noises. Sometimes we have to make the whole session a game and I trick them into taking good pictures. Sometimes it’s a complete breeze, and other times I feel like I need a three hour nap when I’m done. Honestly, it’s all a mystery. But an adorable and satisfying mystery that makes me smile.

The images in this post are just some of my favorites of the babies and children that I photographed in 2015. I can’t wait to meet more new little ones this year!
