One Year Later

Summer soccer started last night.  I remember last year, coming to the conclusion that Brayden wasn’t going to grow up playing soccer–that he had no interest, that he couldn’t keep up with the other kids and that he was a bit slow, distractible and had no sense of what was going on.  Thankfully a year makes a lot of difference.  While Brayden wasn’t the shining star on the field yesterday, he seemed like a totally different kid.  And it’s so fun to watch–even if he does score a goal.  He had fun, he ran and made an effort, and he made me so happy.  I’m looking forward to watching him play this summer, and watching James coach his team.
