New Website!

For quite some time, I’ve been a little disappointed with my website.  It dawned on me that I might be losing out on some clients because my website isn’t as professional as other photographers in the area.  There was a point a couple years ago when I spent hours upon hours creating a “pretend” website through different blog pages.  It took me a long time to figure out the html code–linking pages together.  Adding pictures and galleries and information in a fashion that I’m sure wasn’t ever imagined up by anyone else but this crazy woman named bethany.  It definitely wasn’t the easiest way to do it.  Nor did it look very nice.  But it only cost me ten bucks a year for a domain name, and at least it got me out on the internet.

Two years later, I finally decided that I’m “professional” enough to have a real person website.  One that looks nice.  Will draw people in.  Will make people say, hey, let’s check out this photographer for our wedding/photo shoot/insert any type of session here.

So, I downloaded this program.  I spent hours upon hours this week creating a website.  I will have to pay much more than ten dollars a year to keep my website up and running.  But I feel good about it.  I think I’m at the point where we can justify allotting a certain amount of money per year to a website.  Let’s hope it draws some people in!

So check it out for me.  Test it out.  Let me know if there are any glitches.  It’s basic for right now and I plan to add some more pizazz in the future–but boy am I thrilled at what it looks like for starters.

It’s no lie–I started crying when I finished it, and I was viewing it online for the first time.

What a dream come true this whole journey has been.  I continually thank God for opening the doors for me.
