MY HOU3E

Brayden is interested in so many different things in life.  Many things he could care less about, but other things he has always liked from when he could start liking things.  When he was a little toddler, he used to always want to read this book called Bear at Home.  At the end, there was a map of Bear’s House–and I remember how Brayden always wanted to study that map and compare it to the pictures of each room in the inside of the book.

Now that he is a little older, he often asks James or I to draw a map of something.  The other day, he told me that he was going to draw his own map.  Then he rattled off a bunch of things he was going to include on the map–it was completely random:  our house, DJ’s house (our neighbor), South America, Gigi and Papa’s Zoo, Boston, The Yogurt Factory (say what??) and the ball store.

He started out by drawing our house.  Then he wanted to write “My House”.  I told him all the letters to write and then my heart bursted with joy as he took the marker and began writing each letter.  When he got to the “S”, he wrote it and then said, “Hey, that’s not an S!  That’s a three!”  It was close. . . he just started his little S snake on the wrong side, that’s all.  When he was finished, he held it up. . . MY HOU3E!  ðŸ™‚  They are too cute when they are little.

In the meantime, Carter studied up on his superheroes.   We have to be sure that he is ready for Brayden’s superhero birthday party 🙂  Pow!
