Carter’s new love is gymnastics class. He’s only had a few classes, but he’s hooked. The gymnastics center near our house is just full of things–all sorts of things. . . and the place seems gigantic. Each week they do three separate stations, and the stations are different each class, which I think is great. Carter bounces along and skips and smiles and there is no doubt about it that he’s having the time of his life.
Brayden and Carter are totally into Sawyer lately, but they still haven’t figured out when they’ve crossed Sawyer’s line between I’m having fun with you or I’m getting really annoyed with you and I’m really complaining and not laughing. Maybe that’s a hard thing for a kid to decipher, but it’s quite clear to a mother. I have to constantly remind them that I think those are complaining noises and not happy noises. They’ll get it sooner or later that he really doesn’t want his hand held, and being tickled by someone who has tickle hands that feel more like painful pokes than silly tickles isn’t top on his list either. Carter of course is already talking about how when Sawyer is older he will wrestle with him just like he does with daddy. I can’t wait to see how that goes over.
