I adore these two.  I’ve been photographing them since they were born, and they actually were my very first newborn session ever.  Twins!  Nothing like getting initiated super fast . . . pee everywhere! They have grown into such beautiful little people, and our time at the beach was so fun.  We found a little corner and had it all to ourselves.  The sun was a perfect mix of golden summer goodness and warmth.  And we played, and we were silly.  And you’d never know that Will really wanted nothing to do with having his picture taken–but you see, we trick the little ones.  And they don’t even know they are giving us little treasures to hold onto.  The beauty of a photograph is that there is such mystery behind it sometimes!

Will and Emily, you are so lovely, and it’s been a privilege to watch you grow behind my lens.  You are such a blessing to your parents and I can tell you are so loved.

Sometimes I save these kind of sessions to blog in the middle of our stark, cold winter because it’s a reminder that good things to come are just around the corner!
