My sister-in-law sent Carter a card for his birthday.  Something I need to get better at doing, for sure.  I often remember a person’s birthday on the day before–then I find myself thinking that it would be useless to send a card late and don’t end up doing anything.  Really, that’s silly of me.  Late is better than never, certainly.  It’s a work in progress.

In the card was nothing crazy–a package of stickers.  But it was the simple thought behind it that made it special.  They were Backyardigans stickers.  Carter loves the Backyardigans.  He knows them all by name and pointed to each sticker while saying their names.  We plastered them all over some paper and then colored (i.e. scribbled) on the page.
