Brayden’s preschool class has two “pets”.  Ginger and Pal–a stuffed cat and a stuffed dog.  The kids rotate through taking them home to care for the pets.  While home with us, we are supposed to snap a few pictures of their adventures at our house and write a short journal entry.

Ginger came home with Brayden yesterday.  He was thrilled to finally be bringing one of the pets home.  We read the book that came with Ginger, fed her some goldfish and brought her with us nearly everywhere we went last night and today.  Ginger came with us to the Y.  She came with us to Carter’s two year check up today.  She took a nap with Brayden yesterday because he was feeling a bit under the weather.  And she hung out with our cat Belle for a little while.

I almost threw her in the washing machine tonight–I can’t imagine what  she brought with her when she came to us, and what she’s picking up along the way at our own house.  But I will hope that she is cleaned every so often by one of his teachers.

Brayden also loved looking through Ginger’s journal–there were pictures of some of the past students from the school and their adventures with Ginger.  Many of his friends from church were in there, and he cracked up more than a couple times.
