Carter’s crib is in five pieces, sitting in my bedroom.  Now, he sleeps in this adorable little toddler bed that makes my heart melt every time I look at it.  So far, the transition has been about twenty times

easier than Brayden’s transition.  Carter stays in his bed and hasn’t gotten out of bed to play while he’s supposed to be sleeping.  Fingers crossed.  Next stop: No more pacifier.  Yikes.

We made a pathetic looking chocolate bundt cake for just the four of us last night to celebrate Carter’s birthday.  It was the thought certainly that counted, rather than the appearance of the final product.  I had Carter help me make it, which actually was the first time that I have had him help me bake anything.  I don’t bake nearly as much as I used to, so making a cake from a box was sort of big time for me.

I can’t believe he’s two.  Yikes.  Time sure flies.
