We Love You, Conrad.

When I was in high school I played the French Horn.  I loved playing–I loved being part of a wind ensemble.  Once, in eighth grade, I made the All County Band and we had a concert which we could purchase the recording of on a cassette.  I still have it, in my keepsake box.  I can still remember the songs we played, I can still remember that my favorite song I ever played was called In All It’s Glory by James Swearingen, because the French Horn part through the whole song was amazing, and made us stand out, as opposed to the oom pa’s we played so often.  I can still remember playing for graduation ceremonies in high school and how one of the songs had a crazy French Horn part that took lots and lots of practice.  And I remember playing in the pit band for the High School Musicals–one year we did Bye Bye Birdie.  And forever engrained in my head will be the song, “We Love You, Conrad”.

So taking pictures of this little man makes me smile because when I say his name to get his attention, it takes me back to happy, musical times.  Plus, he’s so terribly cute that you have to smile just because.  I was honored to capture his newborn images as well as this past session, where he was seven months old already!
