Guys, Guys, Everywhere

Our new toy room is getting used daily.  There are all sorts of bins holding our toy treasures–tinkertoys, legos, trio blocks, trains and tracks and balls, among other things.  But the one bin that gets taken out every single day is the super hero bin.  Carter really doesn’t take anything else out but the superheroes.  Occasionally, he will play with the pretend food or a couple of other random things, but mainly just the “guys”.

He finishes his breakfast, and that’s the first place he goes. And he actually doesn’t have favorites either–he plays with them all pretty equally, getting attached to just a handful at a time, playing with them, and then moving on the next day.  He brings a guy with him every week to church, and the workers in his room always look forward to when he walks in and they say, “who did you bring today, carter?!”.   He’s been hiding it behind his back. . . so then he throws his hand in the air with the guy of choice and proudly announces his name with a smile.  Superman!  The Atom!  Green Lantern’s friend!  Catwoman’s cat! Two face!

He makes me smile, that little man.
