Trick or Treat, Smell my Feet

We only trick or treated for about 45 minutes last night.  Brayden dug it.  By the end, he was fluent in his Trick or Treat Thank You wording.  Carter even got the hang of it.  Sort of.  But we all know that he was just trick or treating for Mommy.

We sure enjoyed the weather.  Last year it was freezing and was raining–I think it may have snowed a couple of flakes as well.  So forty-five and mild was heavenly.

We have one street in our area, two streets down from us, that gets the entire town’s trick or treaters.  I’m not sure how long ago they acquired that, or how they did it, but literally the street is packed.  Everyone decorates.  People just sit out in their lawns with fire pits and bowls of candy and hand out I’m sure hundreds of dollars worth of candy.   At some houses, Brayden had to stand in a line of ten kids before he even got up to the door.

I bought a bag of candy to hand out.  Just one.  I was hopeful that we would get some trick or treaters.  So was Brayden.  He was completely excited about sitting with the bowl of candy and waited faithfully at the door.

We had nine people.  What a let down.  Those darn Somershire Halloween Hoarders.  Our neighbors were the last three to come to the door, and I think Brayden gave them ten pieces each.  Better in their house than mine!

He was a little disappointed that there weren’t more kids.  He has such a sweet heart.
