Traditions Shared

It probably seems like I post about our trips to Splash Lagoon all the time, and that’s probably because we go so often.  This is our second time visiting this year, and I think probably our sixth or seventh time going.  Brayden and James get the most enjoyment out of it–Carter is catching on and finally has graduated from just the little kids slides.  And me?  Well, I enjoy a lot of it, but mostly I’m playing “mom” which doesn’t really allow me running around the park like a wild woman the whole day.  Especially this time, since we brought Sawyer with us.  But we also brought along the rest of my family as well, and it was all their first time visiting.  My stepdad is a bit like a kid at heart, so I think he went on everything multiple times.  My brother’s kids were a little tentative, but they did really enjoy the more mild aspects of the park.  The kid slides, the hot tub and frog pond, and the wave pool.  Lots of fun stuff to do, and lots of exhausted kids by the second day!  The only bad part about the whole thing was that my favorite slide was closed for repair.  Boo!  But otherwise, the park was not crowded at all, and there wasn’t much of a wait on any of the slides, which is always pleasant.

So, here’s my plug for Splash Lagoon.  Take a trip if you haven’t. . . it’s affordable, breakfast is included, and you’ll make lots of family memories 🙂
