Time Out

Yesterday, I pulled out 374 staples from the floor in our kitchen after my husband ripped off the other three layers on top of the wood subfloor.  It’s a job that no one will ever know that I did . . . but as all 374 of those staples know–I had a job to do, and it was important (not to the staples, but to me).

Today, I went through twenty bins of clothes sorting out things for a garage sale that we are doing at a friend’s house this weekend.  This was after I had already ransacked our collection of toys.  I know me, and I know that I will buy some more cheap toys this summer because I am obsessed with garage sales.  If I am going to be buying more, I certainly must get rid of a bunch of the ones we currently have.
So now I am taking a time out.  I wanted to sit down for a minute.
And here are some truths for this Tuesday:
Truth Number One: Little baby boys are adorable.   Especially when their outfit consists of a hoodie with little ears on it.

Truth Number Two:  Sibling tummy time is silly.

Truth Number Three: Watching a movie and eating popcorn on a rainy Saturday evening can’t be beat.  But trying your hardest to make a staged shot look candid is definitely not easy . . . hence the blank expressions on our faces as we tried not to giggle.

P.S.  I said, “raise your hand if you are the smallest peanut in the house” right before the shutter went off and that’s why Carter has his hand high and proud.

Truth Number Four: Our boys look nothing alike.  Here is a comparison of their three month pictures.  I’m sure glad my photography skills have improved 🙂

Truth Number Five: I am definitely starting to look old.  Check out all those wrinkles around my eyes!! Maybe I should start investing in some Mary Kay products or something!

Truth Number Six: I am totally smitten by this new child of mine.

Truth Number Seven: Back to tearing apart the house in search of more things to sell.  Happy Tuesday!
