Sweet Boy [Rochester, NY Newborn Photographer]

Declan’s newborn session started off as a near disaster.  I am both full time photographer and full time stay at home mom, and so sometimes, things don’t work out smoothly.  My plan for newborn sessions is usually to drop off my boys to be babysat and then head back to my house where everything is all set and ready to go for my session.  On this particular day, my little guy who is just one was still napping a few minutes before I needed to leave.  My plan was to have everything all set and then just wake him up and stick him in the car.  When I went in to pick him up from his nap, he was raging with a fever.  Out of nowhere! Of course, I immediately panicked.  The session was supposed to start in about twenty minutes.  I called my friend, who was babysitting.  Tried frantically to find my client’s cell number.  My friend, who is amazing, still took Sawyer for me–I owed her big time!  After talking on the phone with Declan’s family–who was already in the car and on their way over anyways, we got everything all settled and were able to still do Declan’s session.  Sometimes things don’t go smoothly–and this was proof that it’s the truth!  Thankful for good friends.

As you can see, Declan came into this world with this amazing head of hair.  And the cutest little face.  I just adored him!
