The other day I decided to be spontaneous. I rummaged through the boys’ closets to find a couple of colorful polos and dress shirts. I grabbed some of my photo props. And I stuck them in the car and told Brayden we were going to take some pictures. For the first time in his life, he actually didn’t protest. We drove around for a couple of minutes–ditched the first idea I was thinking of, since it was littered with noisy grass cutters. So we settled on a place that James had taken us once for a picnic.
I had all of these visions on what kind of images I wanted. I took 225 pictures. None of them turned out how I wanted them to. Carter was unbelievably difficult, and if he didn’t have a snack in his hand or his mouth, he was crying. Luckily I had one child playing along. . . Brayden loved the entire thing.
We finished off our spontaneous morning with a spontaneous bagel and cream cheese at Dunkin Donuts.
