This family was a lot of fun to photograph because so many things about them reminded my of James’ Aunt and Uncle and their family.  A mixed family with both biological and adopted children, and a love between them like no other.  

We laughed a lot, played a little freeze tag.  Took some snack breaks.  Used many props.  And overall, tried to make it seem like we were playing, rather than taking photographs.  When working with young kids, who have never met you before, it’s so important to try to make it fun, rather than making it be work.  You lose them all too soon that way!
