Rachel and I have a piece of history together–a small little blip in my life–but one I am thankful for because it brought me to this moment, photographing the best day of her life. Back in our college days we actually were doubles partners on the Tennis team for a season. It’s a hazy memory, since volleyball was my true love and focus in the athletic world. But it’s a piece of history none the less, and one that can never be changed. That’s the funny thing about history. It makes you permanently connected to people–a bond that can never be broken. And so when I showed up this past Saturday to Rachel and David’s wedding, I was so excited and happy for her–that we shared moments together in the past, and that we got to share those moments together on her wedding day. I was there to witness the union of these two people, who were head over heels in love, and not afraid to show it. Such an honor.
By far my favorite thing of the whole day was how Rachel and Dave continually looked at each other, with such a look of love written on their faces. It was so heartwarming and beautiful. It’s hard not to smile when you get to witness such pure and blissful emotions. Congratulations, you two!
