Oh, Little Chair of Joy

I sat down specifically in the place where he told me to.  Not one to the left.  And not one to the right (well, then I would’ve been sitting on his teacher’s lap).  He pointed it out and said, “sit right there!  so you can be across from me”.  So I plopped my behind down on a little munchkin chair and smiled at my middle guy. Little people are adorable.

And my little person isn’t just little.  He’s tiny.  He was the only one in the room who’s feet still didn’t touch the ground when sitting.  He wears a size 3T still, and he’s 32 pounds.  Will the kid ever grow?  Who knows. . . but his personality more than makes up for it.  He’s boisterous and chatty and his voice could be heard probably from much further than any normal child.  He has great ideas and a spectacular imagination, and can see a project through to completion.  He knew all the words.  He knew all the motions.  He was his funny, life of the party tiny self.

I sat in my little chair–the one picked out for me–and smiled so much that at one point I leaned over to my friend Sarah and told her that my cheeks hurt from smiling so much.  Clearly, these little children are such gifts.
