My Two Boys

Confession: I bribe my boys to get them to take pictures.
It’s true.  Today, the candy of choice was smarties.  Can you tell Carter is chewing in almost every single one of these pictures?

I felt that it was much needed to take a couple of real pictures.  Outside.  It was rainy and chilly, but it made for perfect lighting.  No squinting.  No funny shadows.

And then Carter found a worm.  While Brayden used to be afraid (and still is) of bugs and creepy crawly things, Carter is drawn to them.  He always points out bugs. big bug.  big bug.  This applies toward anything. . . a fly, a spider, an ant.
He saw the worm.  Then he poked it a couple of times and giggled each time he poked it.  I told him that it was a worm.  That it was slimy.  That it was gross (I said this part to myself).  He poked it some more until it slimed it’s way into the grass.
That’s when he picked it up.
See the juicy, slimy worm in his hand?

He tried carrying it into the house.  Ha.  Ha.  Barf.

Luckily Brayden didn’t care too much about the worm.  Instead he played with his pet bead on a string.   It’s read, it doesn’t bark or bite.  And also, it doesn’t cost anything to feed.  I hope he keeps it until he’s ten.

Happy worm day!
