I feel like, for one of the first times in my life, God is opening a door for me, and is holding it wide open. I never feel like like I have a clear picture of how things are going to be laid out before me, but for the next six months, I can finally say that I can see the road before me! It hasn’t even been a year yet since I woke up one morning and had my “AHA!” moment in regards to wedding photography. I practiced shooting a few weddings last season for some friends that were getting married during July and August. In September, I got my first paid job. Going into this wedding season, I am so excited to tell you that I have twelve weddings to do between now (well, the end of April) and December. What a blessing this is and how incredibly exciting for me to know that twelve people enjoy my photography so much that they have put their trust in me for one of the most important days of their lives. I sure hope God continues to be with me as I shoot these weddings, because to be quite honest, this is a completely surreal journey that I have been traveling on, and it’s certainly not solely by my own doing. Whether or not this is something that I will continue to do after this year, I obviously can’t say–but right here and right now, I know what my job is, and for that I am incredibly content. Here are a few of my favorite shots from my first two weddings.
