Monkeys and Froggies- Zoo Part I

I’ve been working on a project. It’s still in the works, but I wanted to share my progress. Last year, I entered our Zoo’s photo contest. I had gone to the Zoo one Sunday afternoon by myself to take pictures of a few of the animals–I wanted to make a mini album for Brayden so that after we visited the zoo (which we do often), we could come home and talk about what animals we saw. Then I found out there was a photo contest a few months later and I entered a couple of my pictures. I was very excited to find out that they chose one of my images to be featured in their calendar along with the other winners. It was a very small picture, but no matter! . . . I had won a prize! A family membership to the zoo, along with a few other goodies!
They are doing the contest again this year. Instead of entering the contest with a few pictures that I casually shot for my son, I am actually trying hard this year. I am hoping that the extra work that I am putting forth earns me a bigger picture in the calendar this year.
I am learning the art of taking photos through a thick wired fence (see Tiger picture below). I am learning that a lot of the animals like to hide. I am learning that it is nearly impossible to take pictures of any of the monkeys because they are behind a very thick piece of glass that is very streaked and dirty.
But I am also learning that I am seriously in love with taking pictures. It’s been a lot of fun. The deadline is coming up soon, so I still have a bit of time to get some more attempts in.
I need your help though. I am only allowed to enter five photos. So I have to pick my five best. There are twelve different animals that I am allowed to enter images for.
I have a really good picture of a few of the animals.
But I have more than one decent one of the Tamarin Monkey and the Panamanian Golden Frog. I think I am going to only enter one of each of these. Please help me out and comment on which one is your favorite for each of them!
