I love when James walks in the door from work. There was a time when Brayden was about two, when he would run away and cry when James got home. It’s something we didn’t really understand, but knew that it was just a phase. Not that it made it any easier–James was hurt and I was left feeling terribly about the whole situation.
Nowadays, it’s a different story. James is usually always greeting with a long daddyyyyyy!!! followed by hugs and a plethora of questions immediately after. Daddy, do you want to read me a book? Daddy, do you want to play the Wii? Do you want to go to the library? Jump on the trampoline? Make me a paper airplane? Go on a treasure hunt?
Carter throws in a couple of requests of his own. Chocolate milk, daddy? Hide seek? I eat. I eat.
And I breathe a sigh of relief because we are once again together as our happy little family of four.
