I’m not the only one. . .

I know that there are other people besides me out there who adore books as much as I do.  Who get all dancy on the inside while looking through a shelf of library books, with their crinkly plastic protective covers.  There are other people who’s ears consider it music when those books are opened, just like mine do.  And their noses savor the smell of a new book, just like mine does.  And their little heart does flips when they have a stack of library books just waiting to be read, just like me.
I’m not the only one, right?
Nerdy as it may seem, it’s the truth.  I am a library-aholic.

Playdates with the Currins are one of the highlights of my week.

Activity Card for the morning: Lincoln Logs.  Awhile back (when Brayden was still a wee one), James said to me, out of all the toys in the world, make sure you get Brayden some lincoln logs and some tinker toys.  So in my garage sale travels, I found a big set of lincoln logs for five bucks–including a frontier train set.  Spending money on a toy that James actually approves of is very easy πŸ™‚ Brayden also got some for his birthday last year.

He isn’t very good at building functional lincoln log houses yet, but he’s starting to get the hang of how the whole thing works.  Usually his structures are tipsy, or have logs running straight through them–but he’ll get the idea in time.  They always do. . .

One of my favorite times of day is when James comes home and I can turn my mommy brain off for just a little bit of time before thinking about dinner or cleaning up.  James said yesterday as I was snapping some pictures . . . you always take pictures when my hair isn’t done and when I’m wearing a plain white t-shirt!  Ha.  Maybe if he wore something other than a plain white t-shirt all the time, it wouldn’t be so! πŸ™‚ That would be like me saying, you always take a picture of me when my hair is up and I’m wearing sweat pants and a hoodie!

Okay, not quite to that extreme.  James does mix it up every once and awhile with the clothes, unlike me.  I wear the same sweatshirt three days in a row.  Saves on the laundry and makes decision making a snap.  What should I wear today?  Oh, I’ll just put this hoodie right back on again.  Voila.
