Family Time

I thought I would title my post “family time” in honor of Brayden, who adds “time” to anything and everything. Snack time, Movie time, Play time, Bath time. Lately, the last one hasn’t been a favorite like it used to be, and the play time is usually only followed by excitment if it is going to occur outside, but the first two always brings rounds of applause. Anyways, we had some great family time this weekend with some family. My brother, wife and two kids came in from Kentucky and slept over for two nights and my parents and other brother came in for the day on Sunday. It was so fun seeing Brayden and Abbey play together. The last time they saw each other was Christmas, and at that point in their lives, they were still pretty far apart developmentally. But now that they are getting older, they can play together! After Abbey left, Brayden said her name about ten times and wondered where she was. Also, they just had a baby, so it was the first time I got to see him!! For my parents, it was the first time they had all three of their grandchildren together at the same time. We made a garden stone for her for mother’s day and put hand and footprints of the three kids on it with their names and the date. Also, after my parents and Joshua had to go back to Buffalo, the rest of us took a short trip to Rochester’s Lilac Festival and walked around in sheer beauty. I wish I could bottle up that scent and take it with me wherever I go. We had a great time, and I wish everyone was able to stay longer!!
