I thoroughly enjoy Halloween, but mostly because I think it makes a fabulous photo op. My kids love dressing up, and we have an entire, overflowing (I mean that!) costume bin, which sees a fair deal of use. Before we left for our trip to Florida, we had a couple of ideas in mind for what the boys might be. Brayden was going to be allowed to wear his costume to school. We picked a few options from the bin and took a couple of pictures “in character”.
Then we went to Florida. And we got stuck. My boys and I sat in the airport while all of the rest of the world was out trick or treating. When we finally did make it home, Brayden asked if he could have a Halloween party since he missed Halloween. I agreed and we invited three friends over to play, dress up and eat. Because things were on sale, I let the boys get a new costume for the party instead of just choosing one out of our bin . . . 50% off. (Those are the bottom two pictures). I also bought six other costumes for them for Christmas when the sale hit 70% off. And then I made the mistake of going to Target yesterday and saw that they were all 90% off, and a good deal of the ones I purchased were still there. Oy vay.
