Deanna & Brian | A Canandaigua Inn on the Lake Wedding

The weather could not have been more ideal for their wedding. Deanna and Brian were married this past Sunday, in an outdoor ceremony, followed by a tent reception. It was a perfectly comfortable seventy-five. The guests were fanning themselves off from heat. They weren’t covering themselves up with their date’s jacket because they were cold. Everyone was happy, thrilled to be there, and looking like they were having a ball.

I first walked into the suite where the girls were getting ready and loved that they were all dressed in adorable pink satin robes with their names embroidered on them. They each had a matching satin bag to hold all of their items for the day. Deanna greeted me with a head full of curlers, and was excited to get the show on the road. I always love weddings like these–they chose to do a First Look, which gets an A+ on my list. This allowed for us to get in mostly all of the pictures before the ceremony, and let the wedding party and the two of them enjoy the rest of their day without having to worry about pausing for a big chunk of time for pictures, missing their cocktail hour. I did end up taking them back out for a quick few more photos when the sun was setting, but other than that, we got everything out of the way and ended about thirty minutes before the ceremony started. They were less anxious about the ceremony once they had seen each other, and it truly was a heart melting moment watching Brian see his bride for the first time. He literally got weak in the knees. I loved being able to capture those first few moments in a prettier setting than at the altar, with more than a hundred people watching.

Everyone looked unbelievable. . . the girls were gorgeous in their pink dresses. And I loved Deanna’s brooch bouquet, which was handmade by her mom. Watching people get married is a true honor. So blessed. Congratulations, Deanna & Brian!
