It’s one of our favorite times of year when James’s brother and his family make the trek from New Hampshire to visit us. So we had an amazing second week of break–we spent it eating (of course!), playing games, watching a few movies, visiting the Y a bajillion times and catching up. It’s been a whole year since we’ve seen them, and that’s the longest span we’ve spent away from each other in quite a few years.
Carter’s new best friend is Auntie Shell of course, since she plays “guys” with him and follows the rules, even though they don’t make any sense. They battled squinkies, played with Imaginext and played some other games that made no sense. Carter is always coming up with non-sensical games, but that’s one of the reasons why we love him so much 🙂
Other events that took place with all the Chase boys residing in one house were nerf battles, lego building, Blokus (though we never play it the correct way), and countless games of Bananagrams (no mention of who won a lot of the games and who didn’t win any . . . we still love you).
All around, I’d say a pretty darn good time.
