Cherries!

We love picking fruit.  It seems to be more about the novelty for me than anything.  There’s nothing quite like picking something straight from where it came from and plopping it into your mouth–pure and raw and very earthy.

We ventured to Brown’s Berry Patch again this year on the Fourth of July, just like we did last year.  We met the same people–my mom and stepdad and then some of our good friends.  They have a really fun play area that normally is $5 per person, and that is definitely something I wouldn’t normally pay.  But two years in a row, they’ve had it open to everyone for free on the Fourth, as long as you print off an online coupon.  So we make a morning of it.  Get there early–pick some fruit.  Play awhile.  Eat lunch.  And then travel back home.  A fun little two year tradition that I’m sure we will continue in the future.

I took a whopping five pictures while we were there.  When we first arrived, it was raining.  And by the time we left, I was beyond exhausted.  So this is the best I had.  Pathetic, I know, but what can I say?  With a couple weeks left until I give birth, I’d consider that a mighty fine excuse 🙂
