Bring It, Christmas.

November has arrived.  I take it day by day with the cold–but thankfully Christmas is upon us shortly, and this year I’m feeling extra excited to be in the Christmas season and to enjoy all that Christmas means.  I’m not at all annoyed that decorations are already ambushing stores or that when I was at Kohl’s yesterday, the Christmas music was playing merrily through the store speakers. To celebrate, I bought myself a Yankee Candle from TJ Maxx in my most favorite Christmas scent of cinnamon.  When I think of how Christmas smells, that’s exactly what I think of.  We don’t decorate for any seasons but Christmas at our house, and we have very minimal decorations.  I’m finding myself wanting to go far above what we normally do, though I’m bummed that our normal Christmas tree spot won’t be available this year because my office/studio has now taken over that space.  We will have to make room for it down in our family room!  It will be a terrible idea though, with Sawyer being at the exact age that all parents dread at Christmas time–we will have to move all of the ornaments three feet up the tree to avoid bulb breakage.

I love to walk into TJ Maxx and look at all the shiny silver and gold Christmas decorations.  And Hobby Lobby has some great stuff too.  If I were to ever win a shopping spree at Hobby Lobby, you’d better bet I would buy a dumptruck load of Christmas items.  I’m far too cheap to buy them all outright!

Merry November, everyone!
