Bethany and Brendan’s wedding was gorgeous from beginning to end.  When we first arrived, we went to town photographing Bethany’s Mori Lee dress and her Kate Spade shoes, which were fabulous and she was so thrilled about.  She had gotten them as a gift.  After a couple of quick family photos at her grandmother’s house, we were off on our way to the ceremony at St. Stephen’s Church on Grand Island.  We were able to visit a couple of other unique places for photos–we stopped briefly by the Buffalo Launch Club on Grand Island and then took the wedding party with us aboard the USS The Sullivans and the USS Little Rock at the Buffalo Naval Park–Bethany and Brendan were granted special permission to board for photos because of Brendan.

Brendan was dressed in his Navy Officer Dress Whites for the day’s festivities, and the wedding colors I thought were a perfect mix of Navy Blue to compliment Brendan’s Navy background, and a feminine coordinating hot pink to bring it together.  The details at the Buffalo Yacht Club were gorgeous.  You could tell Bethany put a lot of thought and time into the decorating–I loved the knotted ropes on the tables and tied around each napkin.

And I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anyone wear their feelings on their sleeve quite as much as Bethany did the entire day.  In all honesty, every time she looked at Brendan, she had this gorgeous I am so in love with you smile.  And talk about photogenic. . . the girl couldn’t look bad in a picture if she tried.  I often find myself smiling about the love I feel at weddings, between the bride and the groom.  Often, I get a bit sentimental–but for some reason, I just plain old started tearing up during their first dance.  I loved watching the two of them, and was so happy to witness two people so in love begin their lives together.  What an awesome job I have.  Really.
