It’s almost less than fifty days that we get to meet our third son.  THIRD SON.  That’s a lot of boys.  But we’re super excited, and I’m ready to meet him.  I dream daily of the three days I get to spend getting to know him at the hospital–all new and soft and snuggly.  It won’t be quite like when Brayden was born, and James could spend almost the entire time hanging out with us, but he’ll hopefully get to spend at least the first night there and sleep in the awesome hospital chair/bed thing.  That’s always his favorite.  Joke, of course.

I still have some small things to do in the baby’s room–details.  Hanging things on the walls. Organizing baskets and stuff like that.  Every day I am thankful that I finished a majority of the stuff back in March when I was a lot smaller and had a lot less pain and a lot more energy.  I still have some sewing projects in mind, but they aren’t crucial–a couple more receiving blankets, some boppy covers and maybe some burp clothes if I have enough motivation.

I keep wanting to pack a little bag for him already for the hospital.  The first clothes I want to put him in.  The first little hats to put on him.  The first outfit.  And the first blanket to wrap him up in.

There’s nothing quite like awaiting the arrival of someone who will forever change your life.
