I have yet to get my new studio fully settled and decorated, but it’s useable and up and running–and that’s super exciting for me! We moved in last weekend, and I had to have the studio in decent condition five days later for a string of three newborns in a row. Because newborn sessions are so time sensitive, and because three of the newborns I was supposed to shoot were born the week right before we moved, I had no choice but to do them so close to when we moved in. It was a lot of work, and pretty stressful to get it useable, but in the end, it was totally worth it. Having those three sessions forced me to get organized quickly, and though it’s not painted or decorate, the holes in the walls aren’t patched, and it’s definitely rough around the edges, at least I can have sessions here already.
There is a small kitchen area in the studio that is still full of boxes, but I made sure to have the shooting area as ready as possible. Here are a few images of some of my favorite things-
