We finally climbed out of the germ zone in the Chase House. Last week was a little rough–the dreaded stomach bug hit all of our kids, so I was stuck at home for most of the week. But we are in the clear (knock on wood), for now at least. We had a few days of “school” at home to keep the germs away from the classrooms, but I think all in all, everyone was a little tired of being home. Mostly me I think. There’s a difference between choosing to stay home because you want to, and being forced to stay home against your will. One is much more enjoyable than the other.
We are greatly enjoying our break week this week. Lots of time at home, but because we are choosing to be there. Not because we actually have to be here. And for that, I can smile and be thankful.
