Rochester, NY Family Photographer | I typically shoot my session either on my property, or at a handful of local area parks that I’ve grown fond of. Every once an awhile I have a family who is interested in doing their session on their own property. Of course, this makes me nervous if I’ve never been there–if I don’t know what the background, lighting, shooting areas are like. But after Lindsay described their property, it sounded amazing and worth giving it a go. We had the session in mid-morning, which is also something that I get nervous about, being that I’m so accustomed to shooting later in the evening when I don’t have to worry about harsh sun. The day was gloriously overcast though, so literally we could go anywhere on the property and not worry about a thing.

They had it all. . . paths filled with fallen golden leaves. Big rolling hills both in the woods and in the open. Fields. Glorious red, orange and yellow trees atop hills in the background. Truly, it was amazing. I’m glad I agreed to shoot there–it did not disappoint. And neither did this family. We had so much fun, and I think the girls laughed through the entire session. What a beautiful family!
