Half of our zoo has been closed for over a year while they built a new exhibit for the addition of some lions. Before the grand opening on Thursday, I wanted to get there one last time while it was still relatively calm–I thought almost everyone had been tired of the zoo, since you can’t get to a couple of the main “attractions”, if that’s even what you call it at our tiny zoo! I think I was mistaken–it was actually packed. . . there were a ton of field trips. Brayden mainly spends his time at the zoo eating snacks, and Carter fell and scraped both knees after we had only been there for five minutes. Two band-aids, a stuffed frog that the first-aid later gave him, and a bag of goldfish later, he had finally calmed down.
It does make it more enjoyable though, when Brayden has some friends to hang out with while we’re there–and of course, it makes it more fun when I have a friend there too. Glad I have a spontaneous friend who I can meet there with only thirty minutes notice!
