I took a wonderfully long blogging hiatus over break. Honestly, I may do that more often. Blogging is my way of documenting some family memories, along with highlighting some of my photography work–but it often turns into a chore rather than a joy. Taking a nice long break of a couple of weeks was good for my “to do” list. I didn’t feel obligated to post a certain number of times over winter break, and I was able to relax with my family and enjoy our time together. But I did keep taking pictures, and that’s the important part!
The boys enjoyed break so much. I didn’t post many pictures of gift opening, because I don’t really believe that it’s always a good idea, but I did think the image of all the boys in their matching PJs in front of the tree was cute, and also the one image next to that of Carter opening a gift of Melissa & Doug’s scratch art pads that he just adores. That was my favorite reaction from the whole morning.
They kept themselves busy with all sorts of mess making activities, but that’s what break is for. Going back to school was a bit tough for them–some tears were involved. But thank goodness, we are coming up on another weekend!
