We’re coming off three Saturdays in a row of shooting a wedding. We have one Saturday off next week before another one–I turned down a wedding, which I felt terribly about–but it’s Brayden’s birthday so I wanted to make sure I wasn’t working all day. I know that’s not really feasible for a lot of people–not working on their kids’ birthdays. So I don’t take it for granted. Maybe we’ll just hang out at home. We’ll cross our fingers that the pool is ready by then (right now it’s still a pretty terrible shade of greenbrown). Jump on the trampoline. Play beyblades. Eat hot dogs and cake and corn on the cob with a side of watermelon. Do bubbles. Climb our tree in the front. Snuggle and read books.
Okay, reading through that, it sounds a little bit like what we would do on any normal day. But I guess we would give a little more hugs and a little more kisses to celebrate our new little five-year-old.
It’s a good thing I still have five more days of him staying four 🙂 We wouldn’t want him growing up too fast!!
