There are only four animals at the zoo. . .

Our zoo is a bit on the pathetic side.  It’s extremely small.  Not very well laid out.  And apparently at this time of year, most of the animals are away visiting other zoos in warmer climates.  That leaves an even smaller number of animals.  Add that in with the construction they are doing, leaving the elephants, baboons and penguins out of the picture, well, that leaves about four animals remaining.  Okay, that might be exaggerating just a little, but seriously it’s not by much.
It was fifty degrees today.  So we went to the zoo.  It was wet and soggy and we had to maneuver through an obstacle course of puddles.  But it was glorious to be outside.  On the plus side, Brayden got to do a little bit of running around.  Lately, he’s been so stir crazy being inside all the time.  By four o’ clock every night, he’s bouncing all over the place talking nonstop.  Too much energy!
When we got home, we ran up and down our street three times.  Just wait until all the snow melts and I make him run around the block three times.  He’s like a dog sometimes. . . if you don’t exercise him, he’s out of control! 🙂
Back to the zoo. . .
Carter was a happy boy, walking outside for just about the first time.  He loved the sea lions and I learned that he definitely can say a second word.  We stopped to chat with the snow leopard for awhile, who watched us playfully with is furry white face.  Carter smiled and said, “diddy. . . diddy” over and over again.  The same thing he’s been saying while chasing our cat.
So, the boy knows two words.  Yawgee and diddy.  Guess he likes his doggies and kitties.  Maybe he’ll be a vet when he grows up.
