We celebrated many things this week:

1. My brother was ordained! We traveled to Buffalo (and they came up from Kentucky) to the church where we were involved in when we were in high school. They had a very nice service for him and a reception afterwards. Their plans are to do long term missions in India, starting this coming spring/summer.

2. Our niece Abbey turned two 🙂 It was nice to have Chad and Krista and the kids in town to celebrate Abbey’s birthday. Brayden didn’t really love the fact that he didn’t get to open any of the gifts, but James did a nice job distracting him.

3. We celebrated Thanksgiving on my side of the family. Since we were all in town last weekend for the ordination and birthday, we had our Thanksgiving dinner as well. Thanks mom for making Grandma’s stuffing!

4. On a bittersweet note, just last night we celebrated our dear friend Kelly going home to meet the Lord. If you read my earlier post from this week, you know that she was suffering from cancer–too young to leave us and sadly leaving two young sons behind. But we are rejoicing in the fact that she will no longer be in unbearable pain. She passed away yesterday evening. Please keep her family (husband John and sons, Kyle and Ben) in your prayers.
