The Museum with the Strangest Name Ever. . .

WWhile we were in Philly, one of our stops was a museum for children.  It was amazing.  It was expensive.  It had a really weird name.  The Please Touch Museum.  Out of all the fun, imaginative things you can name a museum, and it’s call the please touch museum?  Strange.  I get it.  It’s straight forward.  It’s just–different, that’s all.
There were a lot of great things for the kids to do there.  Both of them were equally engaged. Carter got a little pooped out and fussy at the end, but there were many things there that he enjoyed.

For those of you Rochesterians who I have talked to, who are planning a similar trip to what we did, it’s definitely worth it to stop there for a half day.  We found a way to save a bit of money by upgrading our existing Strong Membership to the Patron membership ($34 upgrade), but this allowed us to get four free tickets into the museum ($60 value).  We can also use the new upgraded membership at other reciprocal museums around the country, if we were to take another trip before the membership expires.

We went when they opened right at nine and practically owned the place for the first 45 minutes.  Then it got busy.  REALLY busy.  Field trips started coming through–camps and daycares.  If you can, go on a Monday–they don’t do groups on Mondays.
