It was the first time I met this family. The sun was perfect. The temperature was perfect. And they were adorably perfect as well.  We frolicked and we were silly and like most sessions, the kids were driving their parents a little nuts.  🙂  Of course, everyone has in their minds this preconceived notion of how they think families usually are during their sessions. The pictures that I post always reflect love, happiness, or some other sort of candid moment. And it’s easy to believe that the family in the image must have been perfectly behaved to have gotten that certain image. But, usually that’s the furthest thing from the truth. Typically, sessions can sometimes be a bit on the crazy side, and that’s okay!  Kids are kids. And no matter how perfect you dress them and get their hair done just so, they are still kids. And since I have littles, I know exactly how it is.  So that’s why most of the sessions I do allow for the kids to be silly. I entertain their ideas and let them run around every few minutes to get the crazies out. We play little games and sometimes talk potty talk (shhhhh!!! Potty talk is allowed during photo shoots!).  And that gets some real smiles.  Some giggles.  And in the end, we always get some great stuff.  So this session was typical . . . silly kids. Silly Bethany.  And everyone is happy in the end!

And I love every second of it–the beautiful light and the beautiful family is always an added bonus 🙂
