The Chase Boys- Incognito

love costumes. We’ve always had a large bin of costumes and accessories for the boys to use. I totally love when they get dressed up and pretend play. When friends come over, the bin gets used the most and it always makes me smile to see them dressing up and using their imaginations.

And that’s why I love Halloween. It’s so fun to watch my boys get into character. Brayden just loved his Harry Potter costume–we’ve been listening to the books on CD while in the car (for quite some time now), and we’ve gotten through the first five books. He was thrilled to be able to pretend to be Harry. He really wanted the Harry quidditch costume, but I actually ran into the regular costume in his size at a thrift store for $6. It even came with the glasses!

Carter was going to be Draco Malfoy–another Harry Potter character, but decided against that at the last minute because no one was going to know who he was (in his words). He decided to be Ben 10, which was a costume we already had. Funny thing is–no one still knew who he was. But he loved it anyways, and really didn’t know that there aren’t a whole lot of people who know who Ben 10 is.

And my little guy was a spider. I found the costume on the same day I found the boys’ Harry Potter ones, so I thought it went with the theme kind of well. Once Carter decided to not be Draco, Sawyer’s no longer went, but no biggie. It was still cute.

Here they are in character–they all took it very seriously. (and a few more bonus pictures after that!)
