The New Hampshire Chases came to visit us this week, and really it truly is one of my favorite times of the year. We love hanging out with them–we used to only see each other maybe once a year for “family” gathering just because that’s what you are supposed to do. But in the past couple years, we have seen each other about every four months–it’s been so much fun getting closer to them.
Brayden doesn’t have any cousins closer than seven hours away. We wish he had the opportunity to grow up with cousins around, but this is the best we can do, so we relish every second with them while they are here.
Today we went to the Museum of Play. We rocked it until close–I think we should’ve gone earlier 🙂 Everyone had a fun time. . . there was enough for everyone–AJ is ten and there was still some stuff for him to do there. Riley was in his glory with the building station. And Brayden just loved the whole thing.
Yesterday, when they got here a little before 9, we let the kids go swimming before bed. Brayden was just beaming. Riley, this is the best day ever!
And I have one of my best friends here for a few days 🙂 The closest thing I have to a sister!
